*History, background

                                          Wide Awake Cafe although recently born, has got a lot of experience. We first created The Furnace, for three years worked and developed it catering at many festivals like Bestival, Shambala, Secret Garden Party or Larmertree. Now we have transformed into Wide Awake Café. 

In the past we have also worked at festivals with our friends at Veggie Heaven & Pizza Tabun.

*Ethos and food

                                          Wide Awake Cafe is a vegan-vegetarian restaurant but we think that everybody can enjoy eating with us. We provide good quality food, freshly cooked on site (so much chopping !), we follow our recipes, but we “really cook”, this means that we join together flavours, aromas, textures and temperatures... and the food is always different, as it gets affected by what is going around, like the festival's vibrations, the weather, so many little things ! For instance, in a cool day, the spices will be stronger as we try to warm the festival goers...

As we are aware that we can be quite a big impact on the environment, so we use biodegradable  trays, plates and cups, plus wooden forks and knives.

                                          We got a good recycling policy and wish that every festival got one. We use environmentally friendly detergents, washing-liquid and others chemicals products.
